Hi! I am Michelle Swan, a proud Bronx Girl from Co-op City. Some of my most cherished childhood memories are of going to Broadway plays with my mom and indulging in classic movies on cozy weekend afternoons. My mom, a treasure trove of knowledge on classic film stars, shared her wisdom with me. It was after I had a role in the musical Scrooge in 3rd grade that I knew I wanted to be an actor.
My love for acting led me to pursue a B.A. in English from Howard University, where I continued to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Since then, I have been honing my craft in a wide range of roles, from The Chorus of Medea to Goneril, from a Kickass Vampire to a Cynical Police Receptionist, and even an ensemble work of Shakespeare's Sonnets. I have also ventured into modeling and print work.
So, what am I up to these days? Well, besides auditioning and being a proud mom to Jacob, I am thrilled to be working on a fantasy novel, a project I am co-writing with my creative partner. And if you're curious, you can catch me in my latest film, Art = (Love)2. My scene is in the first eight minutes of the film. Feel free to watch it here.
Recently, I had the opportunity to update my headshots, and I'm thrilled with the results.
